LAPS Improving Communications … Offering Text Messages For Parents

LAPS News:

Los Alamos Public Schools would like to easily contact parents with text messages when there are school emergencies, school events and other important issues involving the district. But it needs permission first.

Los Alamos Public Schools sent a message from its website School Messenger System, parents the opportunity to opt-in to receive future text messages from LAPS.

Per FCC regulations, LAPS must provide recipients an opportunity to opt-in to receive text messages. Parents should have received a text message Friday from the following Short Code Number: 67587. Friday’s text message also contained a link to click and indicate approval to receive future text messages.

Recipients not clicking the link or deleting the text message will not receive any text messages from LAPS. Anyone opting-in but deciding later to not want to recieve the messages can cancel.
