LAPS Hires Tim Doyle As Payroll Supervisor

Longtime Los Alamos resident Tim Doyle was recently selected as the new Los Alamos Public Schools Payroll Supervisor. Monday marked his first day on the job.

Doyle and his wife Christine have three children, two of whom have graduated from Los Alamos High School and a third attends Los Alamos Middle School. During his entrance interview, Doyle expressed his admiration for the Los Alamos schools, stating that he “admired the quality of the organization and its people”, LAPS said, adding that he went on to compliment the school system for the outstanding quality of education that it had provided for his children … he looks forward to giving back to the community through his service as payroll supervisor.

In his new capacity, Doyle oversees the payroll, benefits and retirement paperwork for 658 employees. His department issues approximately $1.3 million in payroll every two weeks. Looking to the future, his goals are to seek ways to improve staff compensation programs, systems and processes. 

Previous to his hire as a school employee, Doyle served as the director of Retail and Branch Operations for Los Alamos National Bank.
