The Los Alamos Public Schools have been working with Los Alamos County and our community partners to promote getting out and getting active this summer.
As part of the campaign – an engaged and connected community is a thriving community – we have developed a Summer Challenge Card, which lists a number of places and events within Los Alamos County. We are inviting families to visit and engage with these community locations.
Here’s how it works: visit six or more locations listed on the card. Show your card to a volunteer or staff member at each location and have the card signed or stamped. If no one is there to mark the card, we have requested that participants follow the honor system.
Turn in your Summer Challenge Card Friday, Aug. 9 to the LAPS table at the Los Alamos County Fair and Rodeo Concert for a prize and an invitation to join the LAPS float in the Rodeo Parade on Saturday.
For those unable to turn in their card on Aug. 9, Challenge Cards will be accepted at the LAPS Administration building as well.
The challenge card can be picked up at the LAPS Administration Office at 2075 Trinity Dr. or printed from the district website here.
