New Assistant Superintendent Diane Katzenmeyer-Delgado
LAPS News:
Los Alamos Public Schools is pleased to announce Diane Katzenmeyer-Delgado as the incoming Assistant Superintendent. Katzenmeyer-Delgado is scheduled to start on June 11. Her goal as a school leader is to support students and staff to be lifelong independent learners.
Katzenmeyer-Delgado’s 25 years of professional experience in New Mexico education include 11 years as an administrator. She has served as a building principal, district office administrator, and assistant superintendent in Pojoaque.
Her background includes collaborating with community members, tribal leaders, and other stakeholders that represent a broad range of multicultural communities. She recently graduated from the successful leadership development program, the Aspiring Superintendents’ Academy.
New Chief Academic Officer Pam Miller
A second announcement involves current employee Pam Miller. Miller’s responsibilities have greatly expanded and, thus, her title will change from director of curriculum and Instruction to chief academic officer.
All of these changes are focused on striving to meet the Board’s three goals and assuring success for all students in the Los Alamos Public Schools.
LAPS also welcomes Keith Rosenbam back to the district. He has been selected to serve as transportation director, effective June 15. Rosenbam rejoins the District with extensive management experience and understands the importance of safely transporting students.
His safety certifications from the U.S. Department of Transportation include transit supervisor, instructor, and administrator. He is also certified through the New Mexico Public Education Department, Transportation Division with a CDL Class B license that includes passenger and school bus endorsements.
We look forward to working with community members to assure that these changes further support high quality schools in Los Alamos.
