LAPD Seeks Donations for Cpl. Roybal Family

Cpl. Alfred Robal

COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos Police Department is collecting donations for the family of LAPD Corporal Alfred Roybal, who passed away unexpectedly last week while on a camping trip with his family in northern New Mexico.

Donations are being requested to help the family collect funds urgently needed to cover funeral expenses this week. LAPD has set up an account at Los Alamos National Bank; individuals can ask to contribute to the Corporal Alfred Roybal Memorial Fund.

“Corporal Roybal served our community for 11 years,” said LAPD Officer Jeremy Duran, who is leading collection efforts at LAPD. “Now, his family needs our help. We want to assist them in paying for these unexpected funeral expenses, so that they can spend the time they need with their loved ones instead of having financial worries. This is a tragic event and we are all deeply saddened at this loss, but those of us at LAPD are dedicated to doing all that we can to help the family get through these difficult times. I hope that everyone will take just a few minutes this week and stop by to make a donation at LANB.”
