LANL News:

Podcasts and webinars are among the new communications tools being rolled out by the Los Alamos National Laboratory Community Programs Office to reach a broader audience. The CPO Office is charged with implementing the Los Alamos National Security, LLC Community Commitment Plan, with central focus areas of education, economic development and community giving. All of the podcasts and webinars will focus on one of these three areas.

“I am thrilled to be able to connect with more people in our community through the podcasts, webinars and social media venues we have planned,” said Kurt Steinhaus, director of the Laboratory’s Community Programs Office. “Through these channels, we will increase the global audience for the work that our partners in the region perform and emphasize that northern New Mexico is a great place to live and work.”

Steinhaus interviewed Regional Development Corporation Executive Director Kathy Keith for the initial podcast, which focused on the Northern New Mexico 20/20 Campaign, a program spearheaded by the RDC that recognizes high growth businesses in the region. All of the podcasts are archived at and, with future availability on iTunes.

“The 20/20 Campaign is about looking at our future and identifying Northern New Mexico companies who are in a growth pattern,” Keith said. “These are the companies that will become the major job creators in our region.”

The multimedia communications plan is facilitated by the Regional Development Corporation, a key partner of the LANL Community Programs Office.
