Los Alamos National Laboratory is conducting an emergency-preparedness exercise from approximately 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, May 11.
It is only an exercise. The Laboratory routinely conducts these exercises to test the preparedness of emergency response and other Laboratory personnel who would respond to an actual emergency. There could be increased emergency vehicle traffic around town.
Emergency Operations works closely with participating Lab organizations to keep employees and the community apprised of real or simulated emergency exercises. Other agencies participating in the May 11 exercise include Los Alamos County and the Los Alamos Medical Center.
