Los Alamos National Laboratory Director Dr. Terry Wallace
Los Alamos National Laboratory Director Dr. Terry Wallace announced to Lab staff this morning that the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) has issued a “notice to proceed” for Triad National Security LLC, the new M&O contractor for the Laboratory.
“This notice marks the formal beginning of the contract transition period, which will take no less than 120 days to complete. I am committed to working with the new team and NNSA to ensure a successful transition. The LANS transition team is in place and diligently working to ensure this transition is as seamless as possible. LANS LLC, Triad National Security LLC, and NNSA have a shared commitment to keep the Laboratory workforce up-to-date through regular all-employee communications and website updates,” Wallace said.
Wallace said an all-employee meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 16 to introduce Dr. Thom Mason, the new director designate of the Laboratory, as well as details about the incoming team and strategy.
“As I’ve said before, we are one Laboratory with one mission. This management transition does not change that. We must continue to stay focused on our work and our mission deliverables. We will continue to manage through transition in the months ahead. I have no doubt all of you will maintain your commitment to excellence that has defined the Laboratory for the last 75 years,” Wallace said.
He concluded by thanking employees for their hard work and dedication to “our incredible Laboratory”.
