Monday morning, Terry C. Wallace, Jr., director of Los Alamos National Laboratory, hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for a new national security office building.
The ceremony marked the beginning of a much-anticipated expansion of secure office space on Laboratory property to conduct critical national security work.
“One of my top priorities as Laboratory director is to secure new office and laboratory space,” Director Wallace said. “The acquisition of more secure office space has been a goal for more than three years. I am excited to see the culmination of so much hard work by many people and organizations within the Lab come to fruition.”
Wallace was joined by Steve Goodrum, manager of the Los Alamos Site Office; Nancy Jo Nicholas, principal associate director for Global Security; and Mike Gaetke, CEO of ADAMO Security Group, which will be responsible for construction of the building.
