Los Alamos National Bank (LANB) has partnered with the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce, Los Alamos MainStreet and Pet Pangaea to sponsor this year’s Small Business Saturday, Nov. 24.

As a longtime partner focused on supporting regional economic development and small business growth, LANB will underwrite the cost of two programs designed to increase local purchasing and foster community comradery with fun and family engagement in mind.

LANB will provide gift cards purchased from local stores as prizes for the annual Scavenger Hunt. This is designed to increase direct benefit to local businesses by increasing local store visits.

Additionally, LANB is sponsoring a new Shop Local Raffle Program that issues one “LANB Blue Buck” ticket to each customer who spends $25 or more at participating businesses. All LANB Blue Buck tickets will be entered into raffle drawings announced Saturday, Dec. 8 during the WinterFest Tree Lighting Ceremony at Ashley Pond. Those entered into the drawing have the opportunity to win one of four (4) $250 cash prizes, one (1) $500 cash prize or the grand prize of $1,000.

The small business who handed out the winning grand prize ticket also will receive a $500 cash prize.

LANB Los Alamos Market President Liddie Martinez said, “LANB has a long history of community commitment and sees support of local businesses as a big win for the entire community. Local purchasing drives economic growth and assists in diversification of the local economy. Support of these events exemplifies our purpose statement: To improve the lives of our neighbors and fuel economic success.”
