BSMA News:

In partnership with the Bradbury Science Museum Association (BSMA), recently provided bus transportation for 134 students from San Juan Elementary School in Espanola, Milagro Middle School in Santa Fe and Lybrook Elementary School in Counselor.

The BSMA/LANB partnership is enabling students from northern New Mexico Title 1 Schools to travel to the museum and visit Los Alamos.

While at the museum, the students learn about engineering.

“The students are guided through a fun engineering project and then explore the museum galleries looking for engineered artifacts,” Bradbury Community Outreach Educator Mel Strong said. “They gain a new perspective about how engineering shapes and improves everyday life.”

The BSMA is the 501(c)3 non-profit partner to the Bradbury Science Museum with the mission of promoting STEM education opportunities for people of all ages; and providing field trips for low-income students throughout northern New Mexico is one example of the BSMA’s STEM education outreach efforts.
