LANB Commissions LAHS Art Students To Paint Mural

Los Alamos National Bank commissioned members of the Los Alamos High School National Art Honor Society to paint a mural in the new Digital Banking Department in the basement level at LANB in Los Alamos. Vice President of Digital Banking Patrick Browder and LANB Los Alamos Market President Liddie Martinez posed May 21 with 11th grade art students from left, Shannon Pestovich, Isabell Cortez, Meghan Romero, Gabriella Tepley and Erin Scott. The mural is a big hit and Browder said, ‘No matter what kind of day I am having, I will walk in here and this mural will put a smile on my face.’ He explained that the idea behind the new department is that digital is the future of banking and high schoolers are the future of the world ‘so we combined it to remind us that we could be doing things more efficiently or more green or more digital… we could have put up a picture but this also teaches high schoolers that whatever their passion they can make it an economic developer’ … LANB is making a monetary donation on these students’ behalf in appreciation for their creative efforts.
