LAMC’s LifePoint Health Announces Future Leadership Team For Merged Organization

LifePoint Health News:

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Los Alamos Medical Center’s parent corporation, LifePoint Health (NASDAQ: LPNT), has announced the incoming executive team that will lead the organization following the completion of its merger with RCCH HealthCare Partners.

The transaction is expected to be finalized later this year and will result in LifePoint Health being a privately-held company.

LAMC CEO John Whiteside spoke about the merger late Thursday with the Los Alamos Daily Post.

“This will have absolutely no impact on our hospital. Victor Giovanetti who is named to the new executive leadership team will be in charge of Hospital Operations … he used to be over the western division, which includes Los Alamos, so he is very familiar with our hospital and our community,” Whiteside said. “On top of that, RCCH HealthCare will add an additional 16 hospitals to the western division, which will enhance our buying power.”

The combined company will be known as LifePoint Health and will operate a diversified portfolio of healthcare assets, including more than 80 non-urban hospitals in 30 states, regional health systems, physician practices, outpatient centers and post-acute service providers, with leading market positions as the sole community healthcare provider in the majority of the regions it serves.

“I am delighted to announce the executive team that will lead the newly-expanded LifePoint Health into the future,” said David Dill, LifePoint Health’s current President and Chief Operating Officer who will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer of the combined company, pending completion of the transaction. “This team will be responsible for uniting LifePoint Health and RCCH HealthCare Partners around a shared culture and goal of establishing our company as the leader in delivering high-quality, community-based healthcare. Together, we have exciting opportunities to transform healthcare in non-urban communities and advance our mission of Making Communities Healthier.”

The LifePoint Health new executive leadership team includes:

  • John Bumpus, Executive Vice President (EVP), Administration;
  • Michael Coggin, EVP, Chief Financial Officer;
  • Victor Giovanetti, FACHE, EVP, Hospital Operations;
  • Rob Jay, EVP, Integrated Operations; and
  • Jennifer Peters, EVP, General Counsel.
