LAMC CEO Seeks Community’s Help For PPE Donations

LAMC CEO John Whiteside

LAMC News:

The COVID-19 pandemic is causing a critical need for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in hospitals throughout the country as well as in Los Alamos.

Los Alamos Medical Center CEO John Whiteside spoke about the need at his hospital and asks community members to donate any PPE they may have.

“We welcome partnering with our community and local veterinarians and dentists who may have unused PPE,” Whiteside said. “We want to protect our front line staff and the visitors coming to our facility.”

Citizens, veterinarians and dentists able to donate unused PPE should call the main number at LAMC for instructions at 505.662.4201.

PPE includes masks, gloves, protective clothing, helmets, goggles and other garments and equipment designed to protect health care personnel from injury and infection.
