This weekend, the Los Alamos Little Theatre and Theatre New Mexico will host the New Mexico State Amateur Theater Festival at the Los Alamos Performing Arts Center, 1670 Nectar St.
The festival is for non-profit theaters throughout the state, and features workshops, performances and adjudications. The adjudicators (all from out of state) will observe the shows, provide comments for making the shows better, and select which show should advance the regional competition in Little Rock Arkansas.
Two companies are competing, Los Alamos Little Theatre with “Gun Play” by Dale Dun, and Artesia High School with “Who We Are Who We Are”.
The performances and adjudications are open to the public, starting at 7 p.m. Entrance is $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.
Artesia’s show will start at 7 p.m. Friday, March 10.
Los Alamos’ show will start at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 11.
