LALT To Host Auditions For ‘Love, Loss And What I Wore’

LALT News:
The Los Alamos Little Theatre (LALT) has announced auditions for its November production of Love, Loss, and What I Wore”.
The show, written by Nora and Delia Ephron and directed by Terry Beery, includes roles for seven female-presenting actors and a small singing opportunity at the start of each show.

A reading will be held before auditions to allow interested actors a chance to hear/read the show and get to know the characters. Copies of the script are available for perusal in both the Los Alamos and White Rock public libraries.

The reading and all auditions, including callbacks, are in the Green Room of the Los Alamos Performing Arts Center (aka Los Alamos Little Theatre), 1670 Nectar St.).

Important dates:

  • Tuesday, Aug. 20 – A table reading with light refreshments 6:30-8:30 p.m.;
  • Thursday, Aug. 22 and Saturday, Aug. 24 – Auditions are scheduled for 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 22 and 2-4 p.m. Aug. 24. Actors should expect to read sides from the show. People interested in singing (whether auditioning as actors or not) should attend one of the audition times and prepare ~20 seconds of vocal music. A capella is preferred, but performers may use a karaoke/backing track on their phone for accompaniment or provide sheet music.
  • Note: Singers not available for each show performance are still eligible to participate and encouraged to audition.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 27 – Call-backs, if needed, are 6:30-8:30 p.m.
  • Nov. 1, 2, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 – Show dates and times are set for 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays Nov. 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16 and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10.
