LALT Readings At Both Senior Centers July 10-11

Be sure to mark your calendars for July 10 at the Los Alamos Senior Center (BESC) and July 11 at the White Rock Senior Center (WRSC) — both at 12:45 p.m. — for a funny, free, short play reading.
 
Get ready for Mayor’s Advisory Board, by Los Alamos Little Theatre veteran Jody Shepard.
 
There’s fun and confusion when an article appears in the local small-town newspaper, upsetting a feisty woman who knows how to use a telephone. John Gustafson and Jody Shepard are featured. Do plan on an audience/playwright/actors discussion following.
 
The community is always welcome to these free live theatre events.
 
The readings are part of an on-going partnership among the Senior Centers, Pajarito Players and playwright Robert Benjamin to bring live theater in enjoyable snippets every few months to our senior community.
 
The readings are intended not only to be entertaining, but also to spark conversation about issues relating to aging. Previous readings include Dead Right and MusicPoemMusic by Elaine Jarvik, I’m Herbert by Robert Anderson, Ultimate Precision, Fresh Out, Swerving, and Too Soon by Benjamin, an excerpt from Not Quite Right coauthored by Jarvik and Benjamin and Epiphany by David McGregor.
