LALT Hosts Play Reading: ‘Murder At The Lone Elm’

LALT News:

Los Alamos Little Theatre will host a play reading for “Murder at the Lone Elm” by Miles Ledoux at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18.  The reading, which
is free and open to the public, will be held in the Green Room of the Performing Arts Center, 1670 Nectar St.

“Murder at the Lone Elm” will be performed by LALT in January 2019, the third show in LALT’s 75th Anniversary Season.

The play is an interactive murder mystery — meaning that the audience will engage in figuring out whodunnit by asking questions of the characters at
different points in the play. This means the actors will need to be able to engage spontaneously with the audience while continuing to advance the plot line.

The play has roles for 10 people, five men and five women.

The play reading is a chance for people to gain familiarity with the script and its characters, especially if they are considering auditioning for a role. It also is a chance for people who may just want to sit back and listen as a story unfolds through the voices of others.
