LAHS Varsity Volleyball Escapes With 15-13 Victory

SPORTS News:

This evening the Topper volleyball team won the first set (25-19) against the St. Michael’s Lady Horsemen, but then they proceeded to dig a deep hole for themselves by losing the next two sets 25-15 and 25-17. 

The fourth set was a real nail biter, but with their backs to the wall the Toppers hung on and forced a fifth set tie breaker with a 25-21 win. 

Down 8-11 in the final set the Toppers dug deep and won 7 of the next 9 points to escape with a 15-13 victory. The Toppers were led by 5’10” senior co-captain Sierra Foley with 24 kills. Co-captain Brianna Montano followed with 17 kills.

Next Wednesday the Topper volleyball team faces the Santa Fe Demons.
