LAHS Toppers Mercy Rule Pojoaque Elks 51-0

Lawrence Armenta congratulates Peter Janke after the game. The score board shows the lopsided score at the end of the game, as the Toppers mercy ruled the Pojoaque Elks 51-0 in a game played Friday night on Jocona Field at Pojoaque High School. The Toppers had little trouble with the Elks as they scored three touchdowns in the first quarter, and racked up the rest as the game played out. Both offense and defense were a vast improvement from the game the week before against the Taos Tigers. The Toppers next game will be a home game against Bloomfield Friday night at Sullivan Field.
