LAHS Student Teresa Austin Presents Plans To Study In Finland As Part Of Rotary Youth Exchange Program

Teresa Austin, one of four Los Alamos High School students studying abroad in the upcoming school year, spoke at the July 26 meeting of the Rotary Club of Los Alamos, the club sponsoring this youth exchange program made possible by Rotary District 5520 and Rotary International.

Austin departs for Helsinki, Finland this month to live with the first of three host families during her nine months of study at the International School in the capital city.

During her presentation, Austin shared colorful hand-outs about Finland’s demographics, history, culture, and the background of Rotary in The Land of a Thousand Lakes.

The other three Los Alamos High School students participating in the Rotary Youth Exchange program, 2022-2023, are Hana Raby (Germany), Caleb Langenbrunner (France) and Elise Delgado (Japan).
