As of noon today, the Los Alamos Public Schools crew has been installing a temporary band-aid on the roof over the Los Alamos High School Science Wing, which sprung leaks during recent rains.
“We have done a section and hope to have the majority done for tomorrow’s anticipated rain or snow,” LAPS Facilities Coordinator Jeff Sargent said. “This should keep the students and staff in the room.”
Sargent said that the temporary fix is in place until insurance funds arrive, after which National Roofing will install a permanent repair.
