NJROTC News:

The LAHS Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp (NJROTC) competed Saturday in the Capital City Military Skills Meet at Santa Fe High School.

Individual awards include Ethan Chandler coming in 3rd place in male sit-ups, Rebecca Moss being awarded third place in the 800 meter run and Jaceena Hornberger awarded first place in female situps and first place overall.

“Topper Company has once again competed with other JROTC units across the state and performed well,” Unit Chief Aron Ayers said. “The cadets improved upon their performances from the previous weekend and showed everyone at the Capital City Military Skills Meet in Santa Fe that they’re a force to be reckoned with. Our female physical fitness team proved their dominance with yet another first place finish.”

Unit Chief Ayers added that the cadets are not taking their foot off of the pedal as they will be traveling again at the end of this month to the New Mexico Military Skills Meet at Rio Rancho High School.
