Two cadets from LAHS NJROTC are heading to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs to compete in the 2017 Junior Olympics beginning this weekend. Samantha Miller, a senior and the Rifle Team Captain, will compete in both Women’s Air Rifle and .22 Small Bore and Jacob Torrez, a junior, will compete in Men’s Air Rifle. Their dedication and hard work to this sport has taken them to compete all over the United States, and this is just one more prestigious event in their journey. This year the Air Rifle Team won first in State and they finished in second place at Navy Nationals in Anniston Alabama. Courtesy photo
