LAHS Key Clubbers Attend Convention In El Paso

LAHS KEY CLUB News:

This past weekend 17 Los Alamos High School Key Clubbers attended the Southwest District Convention in El Paso. They were joined by 480 Key Clubbers from Arizona, New Mexico and El Paso.

The students were chaperoned by Faculty Advisor, Kathy Boerigter and Kiwanis Advisors Steve Boerigter, Don Casperson and Morrie Pongratz.

The students attended workshops on fundraising, service projects, disco dancing, parliamentary procedure and public speaking. They also attended new officer training and heard several inspirational talks. The attendees elected officers for the 2017-2018 Southwest District Key Club year. Topper Donald Poston retired as lieutenant governor and Topper Sydne Ashford was installed as the new lieutenant governor for the Sangre De Cristo division of the district.
