LAHS Graduate Tina Nisoli Wins Colorado Springs XC Open

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.— Los Alamos High School 2022 graduate and University of New Mexico runner Tina Nisoli won the Colorado Springs XC Open Friday in the Lobos’ final race before the Mountain West Championships.

The freshman crossed the line in 22:43.07 with over a five second gap between the runner-up finisher.

UNM’s second finisher, Lauren Bettencourt completed the 6K in 24:21.19 to finish 25th, followed by Laini Cota at 26:17.37 (59th), Sadie Leigh Gonzales (26:35.82, 62nd) and Camille Jackson (27:20.87, 70th).

As aforementioned, up next for the Lobos is the Mountain West Championship set for 10:15 a.m. MT Friday, Oct. 28 in Laramie, Wyo.
