COMMUNITY News:
Megan Martinez, a graduating senior from Los Alamos High School, is all set to begin her next adventure at New Mexico State University (NMSU).
This fall, she will be joining NMSU’s Animal Science program, where she’ll be diving headfirst into her passion for animals. Martinez’s dream of becoming a veterinarian will begin taking shape in Las Cruces.Â
Throughout her high school journey, Martinez has achieved multiple accomplishments as a Hilltopper. Martinez was a four-year Varsity Cheerleader and was selected Co-captain of the Hilltopper Varsity Cheer team during her senior year. Her dedication to her sport also earned her the honor of being selected twice as a UCA All American. Martinez’s accomplishments extended beyond the cheerleading mat, as she was selected to the New Mexico Activities Association District 2 AAAA all-academic team four times.
Adding to her list of accomplishments, Martinez recently received the exciting news that she has been chosen as one of the newest members of the New Mexico State University Aggie Cheer Team, where she will be representing the Aggies on the sidelines this fall and also helping the Aggie Cheer Team compete against college cheer teams from across the country. This incredible achievement further underscores her skills and passion for cheer.
Martinez is the daughter of Joe and Kris Martinez and sister to current Hilltopper Ethan Martinez.
