LAHS Freshmen Sam Crooks loves film making and if your business is in need of a commercial for the Reel Deal Theater, he can be hired to create one for you.

The Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation (LACDC) Youth Business Grant recipient received his second grant to expand his services for the summer of 2015.

“The YBG program gave me funds to purchase more gear for my business, which improves the quality of my commercials,” Crooks said. “My favorite part about running this business is seeing my commercial on a big screen.”

Crooks has already made three commercials even creating one for his mother’s mobile vet business. The ease of You Tube can allow potential clients to view his work 24 hours a day. The video is available at the following link:

Crooks added to his skill set this summer attending a course on film making at Stanford.

“The class was called Advanced Digital Filmmaking at the Digital Media Academy,” Crooks said. “I learned how to create cool video effects, how to use boom mics, fast ways to edit, and how to create unique angles while filming.”

The cost per commercial is $125 with separate fees payable to the theater depending upon the length of time it runs. Crooks is available for hire and can be reached by emailing him at: or calling (505) 695-8461.
