LAHS Boys Varsity Result Against St. Mikes

SPORTS News:

The Los Alamos High School Boys Varsity Soccer team won their fourth match on the fly, in an away game Sept. 1 against the St. Michael’s Horsemen.

Topper Junior, Tristan Semelsberger, opened the scoring, boosting his season tally of goals to 4 in 5 matches. Utilized as a substitution, Sophomore, Jesse Prime had an instant impact for the Toppers when he was bundled over in the penalty box on the ball by a Horsemen defender, earning Los Alamos a penalty kick.

Senior center-back and co-captain, Tristen Roach calmly converted the spot kick for the Toppers, powering his shot past the St. Mike’s goalkeeper into the upper right corner of the net. Jesse Prime would have further influence on affairs, attempting an acrobatic bicycle kick, before later scoring an excellently placed shot.

During the course of the match, the Topper goal was rarely threatened, but Senior goalkeeper, Seth Hailey, kept on his toes and produced an impressive save late in the second half to preserve the clean sheet for his side. The match finished 3-0.
