The LAHS Boys Tennis team finished 2nd in state for the third year in a row.
The Topper boys have played the Albuquerque Academy boys each time coming up short. Albuquerque Academy is the best overall team in the state in any class. Each year the Topper boys and Academy boys have a very competitive match with the Topper boys just coming up short in 2018.
The boys team and their coaches Lloyd Wilton and Eric Martinez are incredibly proud of the teams commitment to academic and athletic excellence, sportsmanship, and community service.
Together they have built a program that will succeed for many years to come because of the young talent that will replace accomplished players such as Thomas Chadwick (Junior), Tim Martin (Junior), Sam Menefee (Junior), Donald Poston (Senior), and Martin Naud (Senior). The young talent they look forward to watching grow and improve are Eli Iramk-Bent (Sophomore), Daniel Lee (Sophomore), Joshua Posada (Freshman), and Jon Gilbert (8th Grade).
Coach Lloyd Wilton is always looking to recruit multi-sport athletes and this off-season will be no different.
