The Los Alamos High School boys’ golf team played Monday in the Albuquerque Academy Invite at Tanoan Country Club in Albuquerque.
 
LAHS placed 2nd behind Cleveland. The LAHS boys’ team earned its 3rd qualifying leg of the season and has secured a spot in the 2017 5A State Championship May 8-9 at Canyon Club in Albuquerque.
 
LAHS Freshman Henry Poston won the golf tournament beating Cleveland’s Alejandro Armijo in a one-hole playoff.
