LADOC News:

Los Alamos Dog Obedience Club (LADOC) reached out last week to help those impacted by fires in the Black Forest region north of Colorado Springs.

LADOC members collected donations and food to assist two kennels in Colorado Springs that opened their doors to take in animals from evacuated families.

The Woodmen and Sunrise Kennels, owned by Doug and Michaelanne Johnson, took in more than 200 animals, including a pot belly pig, during the height of the fire last week.

Many of those animals remained at the kennel Sunday when LADOC members Julie Bremser and Jennifer Necker dropped off more than 400 pounds of dog food and several pounds of cat food.
