Executive Director Kevin Holsapple of the Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation spoke with the Los Alamos Daily Post at the conclusion of the Next Big Idea Festival Saturday.

Holsapple reflected on the day’s events:

“To me, this is just an excellent demonstration of the idea of the creative district. More of this type of event can happen all the time that involves many organizations in the community,” Holsapple said. “It helps them to do things that help their organization and at the same time helps us to provide forums for a greater, more fascinating community.

“There are just so many interesting things to see. It has gotten bigger every year. The intent of this is to be kind of the signature event for our community and the creative district.  What really differentiates this from a lot of other things, you’ve got a lot of other great events all weekend, is that this event really showcases what’s distinctive about Los Alamos. It is that intersection of art, science and our cultural heritage as a place of creativity.”
