LAPS News:

Los Alamos Commerce & Development Corporation (LACDC) Executive Director Patrick Sullivan donated 30 digital thermometers Thursday to Los Alamos Public Schools.

The donation of thermometers by the LACDC is in response to the district’s call for action to help staff prepare for the new school year amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We feel that education is linked to economic development,” Sullivan said while making the presentation. “We want to help get kids back to school safely.”

Sullivan also was planning to drop off thermometers Friday at UNM-LA.

“The Los Alamos Public Schools is very appreciative of the overwhelming support of the community and organizations like the LACDC,” LAPS Superintendent Kurt Steinhaus said. “We are all in this together.”
