LAAOR News:

Members of the Los Alamos Association of REALTORS® (LAAOR) and affiliates partnered with Michaelann Perea and Kelly McReynolds from Guardian Mortgage/First National Bank to help build a Habitat for Humanity home May 8 on Willow Back Road in Oshara Village in Santa Fe.

The Habitat for Humanity website states that it takes every cent of every donation, every minute of volunteer time, and every family that desires a better standard of living, for the Habitat for Humanity program to be successful.

Donors allow the organization to purchase land and materials to build homes. It is very simple: your donation becomes the physical manifestation of hope for many families.

Volunteers donate time to build homes for families in need. Whether you build on site, help out in the office, meet with a committee, or work in the ReStore, you are contributing a very valuable resource: your time.

Partner Families provide dedication, ‘sweat equity’, and the willingness to form a meaningful partnership that creates a tangible feeling of hope:

  • Hope for a better future;
  • Hope for stable and affordable homeownership;
  • Hope for their children; and
  • Hope for the community.
