Searching for the perfect gift for Mother’s Day? Or planning to be out to celebrate May the Fourth, and looking for something additional to do?
Join Los Alamos Arts Council in celebrating their 52nd Annual Spring Arts and Crafts Fair, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday on Fuller Lodge lawn.
Artists and vendors will be available providing some of the most beautiful art in Northern New Mexico. This event is free to the public.
Multiple forms of arts and crafts will be available, including fiber arts, jewelry, paintings, sculpture, pottery and body care products. Come see local artists such as jeweler Kathy Hjeresen, ceramicist Ellen Mancini and sculptor Irene Wiley; and many of other favorites. There will be plenty of new faces as well.
If fair participants are hungry, kettle corn or biscochitos will be sold and Chartwell’s will serve lunch. Aric Glesne from Chama Bee Honey also will be there.
Inside Fuller Lodge, there will be a display of artwork created over the year with the art students at the five local elementary schools.
Activities will be held for kids while mom and dad do a little shopping. Also, there will be ticket sales for a raffle in June during the LAAC Annual Meeting. Raffle entries can viewed tickets are $5 each, or five for $20. Winners do not need to be present.
