LAAC Hosts Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair Saturday

LAAC News:

Los Alamos Arts Council will host its Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Los Alamos Middle School.

Vendors from New Mexico and Colorado will be in the gymnasium of the middle school, selling beautiful art, from jewelry to photography and painting, as well as crafts, including homemade baked goods, chile and more.

The Arts Council welcomes many of its favorite vendors, including jewelers Marilyn Lisowski and Kathy Hjeresen, potter Andrew Sanders, artisan Gail Tate who creates unique handcrafted wood gifts and artist Anabelle Lopez who crafts goat milk soap. The council also will have some of its newer vendors who joined for the first time last fall such as Irene Herrea who makes quilling art pieces.

The fair also welcome new artists, including Daniel Stein and his beautiful oil paintings and prints.

Friends of the Shelter and Companion Animals will selling its 2020 calendars, and the Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos will selling See’s Candy.Hungry patrons will be able to purchase Dora Platero’s Navajo Tacos and Fry Bread.

The Los Alamos Arts Council, a 501c3 non-profit corporation and public charity that, for 50 years, has been supporting creative arts activities in Los Alamos.
