LA Piecemakers Quilt Guild Hosts Maggie Ball Sept. 25

Quilt artist, traveling teacher and author Maggie Ball is coming to the Los Alamos Piecemakers to present a free lecture titled, “The Bears Come Out at Night” 7 p.m., Sept. 25 at the United Church of Los Alamos on Canyon Road.

The public is invited.

Ball has more than 20 years of teaching experience for all skill levels throughout the U.S. and overseas. She is author of Traditional Quilts With a Twist where she tweaked traditional patterns to make more than 20 new designs. Check out her website at dragonflyquilts.com. 

Her lecture is in Graves Hall, which is on the third floor of the brick building next to the church. Since this is the monthly Guild meeting, a short business meeting will precede the program.

Ball will conduct a workshop, “The Bears Come Out at Night” 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 at the United Church. The cost is $40 for members and $50 for non-members.
