NHCC News:
ALBUQUERQUE ―The National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) has announced that La Fonda del Bosque restaurant is now open 9-11:30 a.m. for pastries and coffee and 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch, Tuesday through Saturday in the NHCC History and Literary Arts Building at 1701 4th Street SW in Albuquerque.
The restaurant is owned and operated by Stefani Mangrum, chef and owner of City Treats Catering & Parties.
La Fonda del Bosque serves a menu featuring New Mexican comfort foods with a twist and includes a base selection supplemented with specials. Mangrum and her staff make everything in-house from locally sourced ingredients.
Mangrum has been cooking professionally for almost 40 years and has a history of running restaurants, including a successful run at the Albuquerque Museum of Art and History. She also has worked in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Mangrum owns a catering business, City Treats Catering and Parties, which she will continue to operate.
La Fonda del Bosque also will be open for special events. In December, they will extend their hours to accommodate those going to see The Nutcracker Ballet in the Land Enchantment, Dec. 15-17, by opening for dinner Friday and Saturday and lunch Sunday. See those hours on the event page.
More updates will be available on nhccnm.org and La Fonda del Bosque’s website.
