The acts are all booked and now we’re doing our fundraising. I may be doing this backward but now you know what’s coming. If you feel the concerts warrant a donation from you, your business, or your office, please send that donation to Gordons’ Concerts 109 Central Park Square Los Alamos, NM 87544.
There’s a fundraising concert this Friday night, April 12 at the Posse Lodge starring the Los Alamos roots-rock band, DK & the Affordables. The band and some friends are donating their time and all money will go toward the Series. The band members are DK Warner on guitar & lead vocal. Rob Heineman on bass and vocals. Drummer Scott Beguin can’t make the show but the great Santa Fe drummer, Jeff Sussman will replace him. Aaron Anderson is the keyboardist and Quinn Marksteiner is the saxman. These cats rock! Tickets are $15 per person or $25 per couple. Appetizers are being donated by Susan Brockway, Andrea Pistone, Kimber Heineman, Kim Lazerus and DK & Jocelyn Warner. I’ve been told “not to worry about any of this” so I won’t but it would be great if you can come. Come with or without a partner cause I know there’s gonna be a lot of wonderful people there. I’ll bring the napkins, plastic ware and plates.
Back to the the Concert Series. We’re gonna have a great time with at least 19 concerts. I’ll be telling you who all our sponsors are soon. Please let me know if you want to be included in our advertising. Two years ago my computer died and I lost most of my e-mail list. If you’d like to be notified of our events and receive concert e-mails, please send an email to me at russ@gordonssummerconcerts.com. You can also befriend me on Facebook under Russell Gordon if you wish.
Check out the bands’ websites and I hope that you’ll be as excited about the new Series as I am. My website is http://www.facebook.com/l/HAQFgcsZd/www.gordonssummerconcerts.com. Also check out http://www.facebook.com/l/rAQEMjaFB/www.dkandtheaffordables.com.
