Kiwanis Presents Scholarship to Tanner Vaughn

The Los Alamos Kiwanis Club presented Tanner Vaughn with a scholarship recently. Tanner will be attending Colorado State University in Fort Collins Computer and Social Science. From left, Vaughn’s father Randy Vaughn, Tanner Vaughn and Kiwanis President Don Casperson. Tanner was selected because of his active volunteer work through the National Honor Society, Los Alamos Heart Council Board, the YMCA and as a cancer survivor helped children and their siblings at Camp Wapiyapi in Colorado. Kiwanis meets each Tuesday at noon at Trinity of the HIll Church in Kelly Hall. Kiwanis was founded in 1948 and is the oldest service organization in Los Alamos and focuses on youth projects.  For more information on Kiwanis, visit www.losalamos.kiwanisone.org.
