For years, Kiwanis has held several pancake breakfasts a year—always at the Betty Ehart Senior Center in Los Alamos.
However, the next one is going to be different. It’s scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 18 at the White Rock Senior Center.
The breakfast will be free, but donations will be appreciated. (Kiwanis is still trying to make up the income it lost when ultra-dry conditions forced cancellation of the 2018 Kiwanis Fourth of July Fireworks in Overlook Park.)
Kiwanis suggests that if you live in White Rock (or Los Alamos), you should start your day off May 18 with a good breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage, and coffee (or milk), and then go on to the Kite Festival in Overlook Park.
This combination of good food and great entertainment should be special for the whole family. And breakfast Co-Chairman Doug Hemphill said, “We want to start an annual tradition….”
