The event is free to the public and begins at 3 p.m. at Spirio Field at Overlook Park. Normally scheduled for July 4th but canceled due to weather conditions, this annual tradition hosted by Kiwanis has been rescheduled to this Saturday with the fireworks show beginning at 8:30 p.m.
This year, Kiwanis International of Los Alamos has teamed up with Sancre Productions, who produces the Friday night Los Alamos Summer Concert Series, to bring together a music festival lineup that includes local pop favorite Katy P and the Business, Latin band Frontera Bugalú, Bones of Romeo and the Santa Fe Youth Symphony Association.
Fronted by Katy Palmier and backed by a tight trio of musicians, Katy P and the Business has been one of Northern New Mexico’s real crowd-pleasers since it was formed nine years ago. For more information about the band, visit www.KatyPandtheBusiness.com.
Founded in 2012 Frontera Bugalú mixes high-energy cumbia, with other traditional Mexican/Latin rhythms that has garnered them a loyal following in their home town of El Paso, Texas and throughout the Southwest. For more information about the band, visit https://www.facebook.com/fronterabugalu/.
Bones of Romeo is a northern New Mexico rock band favorite. To learn more about Bones of Romeo visit: https://davidmgarver.com/bones-of-romeo.
