Kirtland AFB Hosts Change Of Command Ceremony

KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE  Col. Richard Gibbs will assume command of the 377th Air Base Wing in a 9 a.m. ceremony June 16 at Kirtland Air Force Base.
 
Gibbs comes to Kirtland from Barksdale Air Force Base, La., where he served as the deputy director of Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection, Air Force Global Strike Command. As the deputy director, he supported the director in organizing, training and equipping the command’s 18,500 active-duty members and civilian employees. Gibbs succeeds Col. Eric Froehlich, who will move to Tinker AFB, Okla., to become the vice commander of the Air Force Sustainment Center.
 
Maj. Gen. Anthony Cotton, Commander, Twentieth Air Force, Air Force Global Strike Command, will preside at the event.
