Kirtland Air Force Base hosted Clergy Readiness Day Sept. 24, 2024, led by the Chaplain Corps. The event focused on addressing key issues affecting service members, including moral injury, postvention, trauma and resiliency.

Discussions on moral injury highlighted the emotional and spiritual wounds that can result from actions conflicting with deeply held beliefs. Postvention strategies emphasized the importance of providing support after crises or losses, while sessions on trauma and resiliency explored ways to strengthen emotional recovery.

The event showcased the Chaplain Corps’ dedication to fostering the well-being and readiness of the Kirtland community.
