KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE, NN ― The Kirtland Air and Space Fiesta May 18 will feature the Air Force Thunderbirds, Space and STEM Pavilion and several other aerial acts and displayed aircraft.
Scheduled static displays include: A-10/C Thunderbolt “Warthog”; AC-130W Stinger II; B-52 Stratofortress; C-17 Globemaster III; F-35 Lightning II; HH-60G Pave Hawk; HC/MC-130J Combat King II/Commando II; CV-22 Osprey; UH-1N Huey; T-38 Talon; TH-1 Civil Air Patrol Glider and Search and Rescue aircraft.
Scheduled aerial acts include: Air Force Thunderbirds; USAFA Wings of Blue (Parachute & Sailplane/Glider Demo); 58thSpecial Operations Wing Capabilities Demo (HC/MC-130J, HH-60, UH-1, CV-22); Chili Flight Vans RV Experimental Aircraft; Greg Shelton Wing Walk; Smoke-n-Thunder Jet Truck; Vertigo Airshows; Keith Davis; Jacque B; Vampire Aerobatics and a Warbird Aerial Review (TBM Avenger, A-26, B-17, B-25, T-6).
The Space and STEM Pavilion will have flight simulators, demonstrations and displays by: NASA AMES Research Center; Virgin Galactic; Air Force Space Command; F.I.R.S.T. Robotics; Sandia National Laboratories; Air Force Research Laboratory; Albuquerque Rocket Society; American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics; COSMIAC@ UNM; Defense Threat Reduction Agency; National Museum of Nuclear Science and History; National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration; New Mexico State University; Northrup Grumman; Space and Missile Systems Center; Spaceport NM; Starfire Optical Range; Tuskegee Airmen; University of New Mexico School Rocket Club and others.
The airshow is free and open to the general public.
