Kendra Ruminer Returns To RE/MAX Of Los Alamos

Kendra Ruminer

RE/MAX News:

Kendra Ruminer has returned to RE/MAX of Los Alamos as a full time Realtor. She has many years of experience in Real Estate in Los Alamos.

Ruminer began as an unlicensed assistant to Realtor Dottie Starr, where she helped to sell the 2500 Central subdivision next to the Library, the Quemazon properties of Woodland and Carriage House, and also Hawks Landing on North Mesa. She went on to work as a property manager at the Canyon Village Apartments and Las Ventanas Townhomes.

From 2003-2006, Ruminer worked as a full time licensed assistant to Kendra Henning at RE/MAX of Los Alamos.

“I am blessed to have been able to take time off to stay home and raise my children,” Ruminer said. “Now that my youngest child is in school full time, I am thrilled to return to real estate and continue the work that I love. In my early real estate career, I was able to gain a broad understanding of the home buying and selling processes by participating in many different types of transactions with buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants, builders and developers. Market conditions have changed, but the fundamentals of practicing real estate have not. I look forward to jumping back in with both feet.”

Qualifying broker and RE/MAX of Los Alamos owner Kendra Henning said she is thrilled to have Ruminer return. “My past experience with Kendra was fantastic and I’m lucky to have her back to start her independent sales career. Many of the local Realtors remember working with Kendra. Clients and colleagues alike valued her great attitude and strong work ethic. This is a nice ‘homecoming’ for all of us.”

Ruminer’s roots in this community run deep. Both sets of her grandparents came to Los Alamos right after the war, and she still has many relatives in town. Her husband Devin Shunk works at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Kendra and Devin live in White Rock with their three children ages 5 through 13.

“I love this fun, quirky, beautiful little town,” she said. “II am proud that my children are fourth generation Los Alamosans, and will also have the opportunity to grow up in such a wonderful community. It’s my pleasure to help Los Alamos families meet their real estate goals.”
