Local resident Karen Easton has joined Century Bank as vice president/branch manager for a branch coming soon to Los Alamos.
“We are a full-service community bank with local expertise, delivering the latest in financial products and services,” Easton said. “Century Bank first opened in Santa Fe in 1887 and we now have branches in Las Cruces, Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Espanola and we are excited to be opening soon in Los Alamos. We invest in all of our communities through philanthropic donations and staff volunteer hours.”
She volunteers as a member of the Rotary Club of Los Alamos and 100+ Women Who Care in Los Alamos. She also is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Los Alamos.
Easton has been in the banking business for 11.5 years, most recently at Los Alamos National Bank, and said she especially enjoys establishing client relationships with consumers and helping them achieve their financial goals.
“For me, my customers have become my family – they are my neighbors and friends and earning their trust is of the utmost importance to me,” she said. “I bank my customers the way they want to be banked, meaning I’m here for them … to serve their needs and be a resource for them.”
Easton moved to Los Alamos from Oregon 15 years ago. She has two sons who both went through the local school system.
“I have great regard for the schools here … I think we are so fortunate to have this education system for our children,” Easton said.
In her free time, Easton likes to hike the area trails and said she is looking forward to ski season.
Easton can be reached at 505.367.1211. Her temporary office is in Century Bank’s Espanola Office at 322 N. Riverside Dr.
