KAFB To Conduct Military Emergency Training

KIRTLAND AFB This week Kirtland will conduct military training exercises on the installation.
 
People on and off the installation may observe the increased presence of emergency vehicles, sirens and simulated gunfire.
 
Installation gate access also will be affected, primarily 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Truman Gate, as enhanced security procedures are performed on inbound traffic. During this time, the Truman Visitor’s Control Center also will be closed.
 
The exercise involves planning and coordination across Kirtland, as well as other installations, and is unique for assigned units and partners.
