Just One Month ‘Til Los Alamos ScienceFest!

Each year, thousands flock to Los Alamos—home of groundbreaking science where discoveries are made—for the three-time award-winning ScienceFest.

2018 marks ScienceFest’s 11th year and is July 11-15 with a “Science Rules in Los Alamos” theme.

“ScienceFest is a must-attend, five-day festival complete with live music, interactive and family-friendly events for all ages and out-of-the-classroom learning opportunities,” said Los Alamos County Marketing Manager Kelly Stewart.

ScienceFest events are focused on celebrating past and present scientific accomplishments and fostering an interest in science for future generations.

  • 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.,  Atomic City Van Tours,  Register online
  • 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.,  Los Alamos Historical Society Guided Walking Tour
  • 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.,  Fourth Annual DisrupTech, Cottonwood On The Greens
  • 5:30 p.m. – Science OnTap: “The Devil is in the Detonators – Shaping Explosions”, UnQuarked Wine Room, free admission
  • 7 p.m. – Suds and Shows, Movie, “Back To The Future”, $5 admission, Pajarito Brewpub will begin serving at 6 p.m.
